Bus Ticket Cancellations, Refunds and Changing Travel Plans

Know which action you need, what to check before confirming it and how to follow up on a refund.
Key takeaways
  • Changing a trip and cancelling it are different actions.
  • For a direct NueGo booking, start in Manage Booking and select the relevant PNR.
  • Read the charges and refund amount shown before confirming.
  • For tickets booked directly with us, refunds return to the source account within seven working days.
  • Keep the cancellation confirmation and contact the original booking provider if you booked elsewhere.

Decide what needs to change

Before cancelling a ticket, decide whether you want a different date, a different departure, a corrected pickup point or no journey at all. These are not necessarily handled in the same way.
A cancellation ends the selected booking or passenger allocation as confirmed on the screen. A reschedule changes a journey under the applicable conditions. A pickup or drop-point change is a separate detail to review. Choosing the correct action first can save you from cancelling something you intended to keep.
Have the booking reference, travel date and passenger details ready. The reference is often called a PNR: it identifies the booking you want to manage.

Find a direct booking with us

For tickets booked on our website or app, sign in and open Manage Booking. Go to Upcoming Trips, select the relevant PNR and choose Change Booking. From there, select the change or cancellation option you need.[1]
Read the passenger and journey details carefully before proceeding, especially when a booking includes more than one person. Check which passengers are selected before confirming the action.
If you cannot locate the booking, first check that you are using the account and contact details associated with it. Keep the payment confirmation too, but distinguish a payment record from a confirmed ticket.

Review the terms before confirming

The applicable cancellation conditions determine your refund amount and any deduction. Check the current policy and the summary displayed for your ticket before you confirm the action.
For a reschedule, review the available new departure, any displayed charge and the final total. A different fare or unavailable seat can change your choice.

Understand the refund path

For a cancellation of a ticket booked directly on our website or app, we return the refund to the source account within seven working days. Working days are not the same as consecutive calendar days.[1]
Keep the cancellation date, reference and amount together. Check the account or payment source used for the original booking.
If you booked through another provider, contact that original booking provider for its cancellation and refund process.

Follow up with the information that matters

If the stated processing period has passed, contact our support team for a direct booking with the PNR, cancellation confirmation, cancellation date and expected amount. Explain whether the cancellation itself is missing or the money has not arrived; those are different issues.
Do not share passwords, one-time passwords or full payment-card details in a message about a refund. Use the official support channel and keep the response reference for any further follow-up.
If you have bought a replacement ticket, save it separately and verify its date. An old confirmation can otherwise be mistaken for the journey you still intend to take.

Keep control of your NueGo booking

Use our booking-management options to review your upcoming trip and choose the action that matches your changed plans. Check the final summary before confirming, then keep the updated ticket or cancellation record for reference.
